For students older than 7,
we have a complete range
of music instruction.
We teach most western
instruments and voice at
all levels and in
most styles including
pop, rock, r & b,
gospel, reggae. hip hop
and classical. Generally
speaking, we advise
against voice lessons
for children before
puberty, except in very
special cases where the
student's vocal cords are
especially strong and
can withstand the rigors
of vocal training.
♫
Our innovative teaching
methods
ensure successful
results quickly in an
environment that makes
learning enjoyable
and comfortable.
Instruction is available
at the student's home or
at the school location
weekdays and weekends,
by appointment. Our
private
lessons are generally
one hour long. We also
offer half and
three-quarter hour
lessons, but only at the
school. We
teach ear training,
theory, reading and
writing music, as part
of every lesson. We also
coach students from
private and public
schools who are
competing at a regional,
state or national level.
In addition, we train
semi-professionals and
professionals for
auditions, demos, stage
and television work. ♫
Regardless
of age, prior to being accepted as a student, each
candidate must pass our comprehensive comprehensive
two-hour Sdoia-Satz Music
Aptitude Test (SSMAT). Unlike other tests which assess
achievement, the SSMAT examines untrained, natural, musical aptitude
and potential.
