Adults & Seniors
Sdoia-Satz Music Institute (The
Husky Gang School) has complete
programs of music education for
adults and seniors, for fun,
career, therapy and just plain
relaxation.
♫
Beginning music lessons later in
life is often very rewarding for
seniors and adults. We've had
students who studied music as a
child and decided, as adults, to
go back to it. Some say, "I
always wanted to study flute (or
any other instrument or voice)
but my mother made me take ...
(some other instrument) and I
hated it. Now that I am an
adult, I have time and I can
study the instrument I really
wanted to learn." Others tell
us, "my parents never had enough
money to be able to afford music
lessons for me."
♫
Seniors come to us saying, "All
my life I had to work hard and
never had any time or money to
be able to study music. Now I
have time because I am retired
and at last I can finally sit
down and take lessons." Learning
music is a wonderful way of
keeping the mind fresh. It also
helps with coordination
problems, memory retention,
arthritis; it gives adults and
seniors a sense of "doing
something for me".
♫
If you are an adult who has
always wanted to study music and
just never got around to it,
this is a good time to give it a
try. At Sdoia-Satz Music
Institute each student is
special to us, and a program is
developed for each one with
his/her own needs and desires in
mind.
♫
Regardless of age, prior to
being accepted as a student,
each candidate must pass our
comprehensive two-hour music
aptitude test. Unlike other
tests which evaluate
accomplishment, the
Sdoia-Satz
Music Aptitude Test assesses
raw, untrained, natural
musical aptitude.
